Subject: What’s on tonight
Afternoon all
a late reminder about tonight’s meeting, and outline of what’s to come.
Main item – B&W Competition – judged by Martin Litchfield CPAGB.
Reminders:
Poppy day display for Emmanuel Church.
Wath Salon entries.
John Pyatt FRPS – did anyone visit his free to view Exhibition at Swinton Library?
There is a PAGB assessment day in January, at Pontefract, if anyone is interested in submitting a portfolio.
We can obtain a DVD full of sample images which show the latest standards. If anyone is interested – please let me know.
Next week – don’t forget to bring in your entries for . This is up to 2 prints and up to 3 digital images.
If anyone is not sure what size the prints need to be, how to mount them or how to set the digital projected image (DPI) size to 1024×768 maximum, please ask.
We’ll also be picking our final 35 prints to use in our 3 way matching competition on 9th November, and picking the team – and estimating how many other members may wish to come along and support the team.
Finally for next week, don’t forget to bring your cameras, lenses, and most importantly – the handbooks/user manuals, for our back to basics, hoping to find your way around your kit, without looking. Why? – every now and then, we may have only a second or two to capture a scene – and if the camera isn’t set for the shot, it needs adjusting quickly and without thinking about it.
